The ABDİBİO reference in Canel Electric’s project archive illustrates why pharmaceutical electrical infrastructure extends beyond individual pieces of equipment. Canel’s official project post reports completed turnkey electrical works for the 14,000 m² facility.
Connecting distribution with supporting systems
The reported scope covers MV/LV distribution, transformer and generator systems, UPS and busbar, alongside lighting, energy monitoring and low-current systems. This article revisits that project reference; it is not an announcement of a new handover.
When discussing a pharmaceutical electrical contracting package, it helps to look beyond a collection of separate purchase items. A useful project conversation follows responsibilities from the power supply to the equipment served and identifies the interfaces that need a joint review.
Three questions for the project brief
- Scope: Which work package includes distribution, supporting systems and communications?
- Interfaces: How are delivery boundaries described between electrical, mechanical and production-equipment teams?
- Handover information: Which drawings, system lists and records does the client expect to receive?
These questions focus on understanding a new facility’s requirements rather than copying a reference project’s equipment list. Capacity, implementation details and acceptance scope need to be established for each project.
Are medium-voltage and low-voltage works the same scope?
They describe different parts of an electrical distribution arrangement. Listing MV and LV requirements separately in an enquiry makes it easier to discuss the responsibilities for each part, the interfaces between them and the information needed before a proposal can be prepared.
