Pharmaceutical electrical handover documentation should be defined when requesting a contractor quotation, alongside the installation scope. An electrical acceptance plan, installation records, updated drawings and an operating handover file are useful starting points for comparing proposals. Agree the electrical acceptance plan before tendering

Use this checklist to agree document responsibilities. The technical checks themselves require a project-specific plan and qualified personnel.
Electrical acceptance and pharmaceutical facility validation
Keep the electrical work’s inspection records separate from assessments of manufacturing processes. State which acceptance decision each document supports and who reviews or approves it. An electrical contractor’s reference does not, by itself, demonstrate GMP certification or completion of a facility’s validation programme.
Make the handover file usable for operations
Organise documents by work package, area and revision so the operating team can find the relevant information after handover. Request a document register and agree both the deliverables and their preparation responsibilities. Use authorised channels for confidential facility information.
